Gecodor continues anemometer monitoring activities at its wind projects

Anemometric monitoring of our wind projects continues with the installation of a 96-meter-high anemometer tower dedicated to monitoring wind conditions at the identified site.

The tower is equipped with anemometers and directional weathervanes installed at different heights, along with temperature, atmospheric pressure and humidity sensors.

These instruments make it possible to continuously detect wind speed and direction on multiple levels, providing a complete picture of the behavior of the air mass over the different seasons.

The collected data are recorded by a data logger and remotely transmitted to analysis systems, where they are processed to assess wind distribution, turbulence and energy potential in the area.

This information is critical for site modeling and optimal wind turbine selection, ensuring maximum efficiency and sustainability of the future plant.

Gecodor was responsible for identifying the most suitable terrain, obtaining all necessary permits, and followed the execution phase of the intervention, in close collaboration with the specialized company that supplied and installed the anemometer.

The installation of the anemometer represents a key milestone in the development of the wind farm, confirming Gecodor’s commitment to promoting innovative projects based on accurate data and cutting-edge technology.

Through initiatives like this, Gecodor continues to invest in renewable energy sources and field research, actively contributing to the energy transition and decarbonization of the national energy system.
